César Sena and his parents, powerful Chaco political leaders Emerenciano Sena and Marcela Acuña, were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Cecilia Strzyzowski, César’s girlfriend, in 2023. A jury had found the family guilty of the murder in November by a jury. Three people who worked for the Sena family were also handed their sentences on Tuesday. Gustavo Melgarejo, watchman of the field, received two years and 10 months of suspended prison for guarding the fire in which Cecilia’s remains were burned.
