Powerboat racers come to New PlymouthGRANT MATTHEW/STUFF 2018 Offshore Powerboat Series returns to New Plymouth with FMI Racing out on the water. Powerboats carved up the choppy waters off the coast of New Plymouth in round two of the NZ Offshore Powerboat Championship 2018 on Saturday. GRANT MATTHEW/STUFF New Zealand Home Loans Superboat 400 team watch as their machine is lifted out of the water to assess damage sustained while racing. Haegar and his co-driver Karl Wall led for the majority of race one, until Hijinx hit the back of their boat. The NZ Offshore Powerboat association teamed up with Venture Taranaki to bring the national motorsport event back to the region.
