Power supply to Dhaka airport restored after 7hr disruption

Power outage, and disruption in water supply hit the airport Sunday morning, causing distress. Group Captain Mehbub, security director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, said: "Power connection was partially disrupted around 8am as a power line was cut off during a drive against illegal electricity connections by Dhaka Electric Supply Company (Desco) near Kawla Bazar rail track. Only air conditioners went out of service due to the power outage." However, Nur Mohammad, Desco's director of operations, said the electricity line at the airport was cut off during a repair work on a water line by the airport authorities.
