Power restored to Christchurch householdsORION Power was out to thousands of Christchurch homes but has now been restored. Power has been restored to more than 1230 Christchurch households and businesses after a suspected cable fault cut power for almost two hours in parts of the city. Properties in Bishopdale, Bryndwr, Harewood, Northcote and Papanui lost power at 1.12pm. By 2.30pm most had their power restored, with all properties fully restored by 3pm. Some households in Weedons and West Melton had been without power since before 10am.
