The Calgary Hitmen’s power play played a key part in the team’s ability to stretch their first-round series with the Lethbridge Hurricanes to seven games. The team seemed snakebitten in the first two games as the Hitmen went a collective 0-for-8 with the man advantage. In Game 4, the Hitmen again went one-for-four on their power plays. “Mark comes back and he’s the power play,” said Hamilton of Hitmen captain Mark Kastelic’s Game 5 return. It’s a program that saw the Calgary Hitmen Foundation and the WEB Consulting both contribute $10 for every point Hitmen left-winger Riley Stotts collected in the regular season.
