Wet weather and surface flooding on Hastings Street, Nelson. Network Tasman has reported power outages in parts of Richmond after stormy weather. The sudden downpour in the region included heavy rain and lightning. According to Network Tasman’s website, the power outage may last longer than usual, as lightning strikes are making conditions to repair the lines dangerous. Power is out in Richmond at Selbourne Ave, Bolton Place, Snow Place, Cropp Place, and Griffin St, the website says.
