BC Hydro says power has been restored to more than 55,000 homes in the Lower Mainland Wednesday afternoon — most of them in the Fraser Valley. BC Hydro's website says a "transmission circuit failure" was responsible for the massive power outage. It says the power outage started shortly after 1:30 p.m. PT.
