All in all, it's been a long, hard two years for federal employees, the daily indignities punctuated by hostility from the White House and ineptitude from Cabinet secretaries. But the country’s 2 million federal workers have mostly soldiered on, believing in the value of their work even if they question decisions coming out of the White House.
