MONTREAL - Senior IOC member Dick Pound on Saturday slammed the International Olympic Committee's lack of "moral leadership" over the Russia doping crisis and said the organisation now faces a battle to restore its credibility. IOC president Thomas Bach has criticised WADA and called for its reform. Pound said the IOC move to make individual federations decide which Russians could take part was "an abandonment of its responsibility." His comments are likely to step up tensions between IOC and anti-doping campaigners. Pound said the IOC now faces a long campaign "to earn back its reputation for safeguarding the integrity of Olympic competition and protecting clean athletes."
