It comes amid concerns over the state of the area's roads generally as being "worse than ever". ‌Opposition Labour councillors have questioned if urban areas are getting their fair share of pothole repairs off the back of a recent council press release highlighting extensive pothole repairs in the Isle of Axholme. Crosby and Park Ward councillors Helen Yates, Christine O'Sullivan and Naseer Ahmed (all Labour) highlighted ahead of the council budget meeting potholes in their ward. At the subsequent budget meeting, Labour opposition group leader Cllr Len Foster (Brumby) raised potholes as a main concern.
