Health care, e-commerce, and pharmaceuticals are the sectors that will do well as the economy recovers from the new coronavirus pandemic, an asset manager says. Bill Maldonado, Asia Pacific chief investment officer and global chief investment officer for equities at HSBC Global Asset Management, said the pricing of those sectors is already quite rich and is already reflecting the very positive outlook for those sectors, so there probably isn't much bargain hunting. “We have to look at the sectors that maybe have been discounted. You need to be perhaps a bit braver, but in automobiles or in machinery sales, other areas like this, the more cyclically exposed sectors, there's a lot more opportunity there.”
