Witnesses said supporters of Awami League candidate Abdur Rashid launched an attack and vandalized t houses of the Hindu community as they were supporters of independent candidate JM Rashid. In Gazipur, supporters of Fahim Khondokar, Gazipur district unit Chhatra League ex-convener, vandalized the houses of Zahidul Alam Robin's people, BCL general secretary of the district. In Gopalganj, supporters of Tungipara upazila defeated candidate, Babul Sheikh, blockaded the Gopalganj-Patgati road in the morning, protesting the upazila election results.
