Ten others were also injured in the clashTwo people have been killed, and 10 other were injured in a class between supporters of two candidates after the Kalai upazila election in Joypurhat. An argument ensued regarding the matter, and at one point of the argument, the vice-chairmen supporter and local Union Parishad Chairman Wazed Ali beat up a supporter of the upazila chairman. As a result of the beating, the supporters of both candidates collided in a clash. Aftab died on his way to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogra, and Ratan died early Sunday. Among the ten injured, five were discharged after being treated with first aid, and the remaining five are still undergoing treatment in the Kalai Upazila Health Complex.
