Southland and Otago should expect snow to lower overnight to 200 metres, while snow showers were expected to affect parts of Dunedin and the Clutha District. "Where the heavy snow occurs, it will affect road transport, livestock and power lines." DUNEDIN TO WAITATI HIGHWAYSnow showers are expected overnight tonight through to early Tuesday afternoon above 200 metres. However, there is a low chance of heavier snowfalls between about 6am and midday Tuesday when 5-10cm of snow may accumulate.
