It appears Nelson property developer Gaire Thompson and the Invercargill City Council may have come to an agreement regarding the Invercargill inner city development. Yesterday, the ICC put on the meeting agenda section of its website that it would be holding an extraordinary general meeting today. The meeting agenda states it is in relation to the judicial review proceedings by Invercargill property developer Gaire Thompson. Mr Thompson yesterday confirmed the meeting was in relation to the CBD block development — the development funded by HWCP Management Group and the council. When asked if he had started court proceedings again, Mr Thompson replied, "it hasn’t gone to substantiative hearing stage yet".
