It was a bad day for Canadians at the Paris Masters tennis tournament on Monday as both Vasek Pospisil and Denis Shapovalov lost their first-round matches. Pospisil won his opening set, but then dropped the next two in close fashion as the Canadian fell to France's Nicolas Mahut 7-5, 5-7, 6-7 (4). Shapovalov was beaten in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, by Julien Benneteau of France. A victory at a Masters 1000 is extremely pleasant to have." Nicolas Mahut scores an emotional victory in Paris!
