The team met up with the security staff at St Ives Bay Holiday camp alongside St Ives Coastguard and Devon and Cornwall Police and formulated a plan. The second call of the day came at around 3pm (July 15) where the team were alerted to a lone paddle boarder between Godrevy and Portreath. The team separated into multiple search groups before locating the paddle boarder coming ashore on Portreath beach. Members of the team met them on the beach and issued some safety advice and to confirm details of their trip that was logged with the operations room in Falmouth. Then shortly before 6pm on July 15 they werre called to help RNLI lifeguards at Portreath with an overdue swimmer.
