KUALA LUMPUR: A crane driver taking a short break from work on Thursday, died in a freak accident when a portable generator, hanging from the crane above him, fell onto the man. The incident took place at a construction site in Taman Desa at about 5pm. City Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said, according to witnesses, Jamil Mahamad, 35, was lifting the generator set using the crane. "He stopped when it started raining heavily and left the generator hanging in the air. The crane's neck also broke and fell on victim, causing severe bodily injuries," he said.
