Peterborough made it three wins on the bounce in League One after a hard-fought 1-0 victory at bottom side Port Vale. Harry Leonard's fifth goal in four league matches settled the contest late on as Posh moved up to 16th in the table. Vale, meanwhile, have now gone 10 league games without a win and are seven points adrift of 23rd-placed Doncaster. The hosts started brightly and nearly took the lead in the sixth minute when Ben Waine headed wide from Mitch Clark's cross. Leonard twice came close to putting the visitors ahead early in the second half, with one effort going wide and another saved by Amos.
