Five years on from the success of Christchurch Stands Tall's giraffe sculptures, penguins are set to be dotted around the city. "There's obviously a real excitement about it based on the fact that Christchurch Stands Tall was so popular," event producer Claire Cowles said. The previous Christchurch Stands Tall trail took place over summer in 2014 and 2015 and saw 100 giraffe sculptures placed across the city. Cowles thought Christchurch Stands Tall was popular and successful because "everyone knew about it and everybody was in love with [the giraffes]".
