Pope names new Lingayen auxiliary bishopBy The Manila TimesPope Francis has appointed Fr. Fidelis Layog as the new auxiliary bishop of Lingayen-Dagupan. Layog, 51, studied philosophy at the Mary Help of Christians College Seminary and theology at the Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan City. After he was ordained on April 29, 1996, Layog worked as prefect of discipline at the Mary Help of Christians High School Seminary in Dagupan City for four years. He was the director of Mapandan Catholic School from 2014-2016 and of St. Columban Institute of Domalandan in Lingayen, Pangasinan since 2017.
