Knowing their pain and healing their wounds is at the heart of the shepherd’s task,” a post from the site said.Pope Francis gathered about 100 heads of bishops around the world to discuss the sex abuse scandals involving the clergy. The summit comes after the Pope ousted former US cardinal Theodore McCarrick who was accused of sexually assaultinng a teenager some 50 years ago. Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles, president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, is in Rome for the convention.
