In fighting high-handedness in schools, students turn their anger on the school properties. It is near impossible for students, parents and other visitors to access principals' offices. Students in the affected schools can confess that some never get near the principal's offices for the entire period of four years they have spent in school. Recent incidents of students reducing school hostels, offices and stores to rubble is a wake-up call that something serious is wrong in our education sector. It is time teachers unions start campaigns in schools and advice them to stop using street preachers as mentors to students.
