Ponies may be small, but they deliver big thrills in the show-jumping ring. A highlight of the European winter equestrian shows, the Longines Masters of Paris, which starts on Thursday , will host a new class this year featuring pony jumpers. Ridden by children in competition, ponies are not physically any different from horses, just smaller. But ponies have the reputation of being a little naughty and a challenge for their riders. A longtime competitor at the Paris show, Kraut grew up in a riding family and was in the saddle from a very young age.
