Witnesses described the aftermath as 'carnage' with emergency services rushing to the scene. Images from the scene showed a huge emergency services response with at least five ambulances at the scene near the Windsor Pub alongside the air ambulance, police and fire service. South Wales Police earlier told Wales Online: "Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on Llantrisant Road in Pontyclun near the Windsor pub. Everyone has been taken to hospital and the emergency services are on the case. Thanks to all by standers who helped and all the emergency services."
