Three residential colonies — Ganapathy Nagar, Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Pallavaram, and Padmavathi Nagar, Chromepet — are found abutting the service lanes. S. Kumar, a resident of Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, says, “The light from commercial establishments found on the service lanes is some help. “I disembark at the Ponds Flyover bus stop and walk towards my house at Radha Nagar Main Road. When contacted, officials of both the State Highways Department as well as the Pallavapuram Municipality were blaming each other for the problem.
