WASHINGTON—Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday played down the threat presented by North Korea’s latest weapons tests and said he is eager for a resumption of talks to end the country’s efforts to acquire nuclear missiles. “We hope that this act that [North Korean leader Kim Jong Un] took over the weekend won’t get in the way,” Mr. Pompeo said on ABC.
