The polling percentage for 18 Assembly constituencies that went for bypolls on the same day was 75.57%. Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency stood first with 80.49% polling percentage, while Chennai South registered the lowest polling percentage in the State with 56.41%. While Chennai North saw 63.47% polling, the same was 56.41% in Chennai South and 59.25% in Chennai Central constituencies. Once the diaries of polling officers are compared with that of the general observers, there would be minor changes,” Mr. Sahoo told reporters here.
