He went to Wokha, Mokokchung, Kohima and Dimapur towns to get firsthand knowledge on poll preparedness. A joint review meeting with the district administrations of Wokha and Zunheboto for poll preparedness was held at the deputy commissioner's conference hall in Wokha on Tuesday evening. Besides Jain, the meeting was attended by chief electoral officer, Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, inspector-general Wabang Jamir, deputy inspector-general, CRPF, Sarabjit Singh, and deputy commissioners and superintendents of police of Wokha and Zunheboto. He talked to the DCs, SPs and returning officers (RO) on their responsibilities to ensure smooth conduct of elections. The deputy commissioners and SPs of Wokha and Zunheboto apprised him of the steps taken for security arrangements during the elections and were told to ensure hassle-free polls.
