Two Governors and 10 MPs who lost in the JP primaries in the North Rift region are now pondering on life outside power and active politics. Nandi Governor Cleophas Lagat, who lost to Senator Stephen Sang, said he accepts the people’s verdict and will support the winner because he believes in democracy. Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi, who lost to Stanley Kiptis, complained of irregularities but was yet to announce his next move. However, his close aides said he would engage in private business. In Uasin Gishu, Senator Isaac Melly (pictured) lost to Prof Margaret Kamar in the primaries.
