This poll indicates that about 30 percent of people who voted for Labour at the last election now intend to vote for another party. Of now four recent polls showing National has edged ahead of Labour, this one registers the lowest support for the incumbent governing party. On the other side of politics, National was unchanged from the last Kantar poll in March on 39 percent support, while Act was down one point on 7 percent; that equates to the other 60 seats in Parliament. Multi-partisanship would be the order of the term, but it would likely be a short one. Opposing parties would regularly unite to vote against legislation and, when the time was right, look to bring the government down with a vote of no confidence.
