With less than a week of campaigning to go, voters give President Donald Trump a poor verdict on his handling of the coronavirus outbreak, a new HuffPost/YouGov survey finds. Voters disapprove, 55% to 40%, of the U.S. government’s handling of issues relating to the coronavirus. By an even broader margin, 59% to 38%, voters disapprove of Trump’s own handling of the pandemic. An 84% majority of Democratic voters say they strongly disapprove of Trump’s handling of the issue, compared with the 55% of Republican voters who strongly approve. Democratic voters mostly say Trump’s work on coronavirus has stood out as worse than his work on other issues.
