Defence ForcesThe Defence Forces played a crucial role in the operation targeting a cargo ship off the Irish coast with a record drug haul of €157 million worth of cocaine. The underfunding of the Defence Forces is likely to be a topic of Dáil conversation once again in light of this. The Commission on the Defence Forces has recommended reforms, which the Government is working to implement.
