NATIONAL Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and immediate past Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh, has reviewed the state of the North, particularly how its industrial sector has been collapsing and submitted that “politics has become the major industry” in the region. Ogbeh, who spoke in an interview with Sunday Tribune, said the “increasing excitement in the North” predicated on the reliance of monthly federal allocation, would not help the region. “I believe that over the years, we must have made very serious mistakes. In terms of development, the North is far behind the South. Even when such people were still in the active service, their monthly earnings were not sufficient for them.
