Wambugu told the Star, "Maatiang'i is here to work and ensure Uhuru's projects are delivered now. As we keep insisting, anything else beyond the current assignment of delivering Uhuru's projects will be dealt with at an appropriate date." The CS said he has a mandate to inspect government projects and ensure they are well done and completed for Kenyans. Matiang'i urged Kenyans to avoid being divided by politicians and ensure they live in unity as the country heads to general elections. CS Macharia said Matiang’i is a development-oriented CS who has taken the time to go round the country ensuring projects are fully implemented.
