Cutting across party lines, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Janata Dal United (JD-U) condemned the yesterday?s assault on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali by Rajput Karni Sena workers. JD-U leader Pawan Verma said violence does not lead to any kind of solution. Rajput Karni Sena workers on Friday created ruckus and vandalised the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' in Jaipur's Nahargarh Fort, claiming the film shows much-celebrated Rajput queen in 'poor light'. The Karni Sena claims that Rani Padmini was a proud queen known for taking her own life rather than submitting to Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji who attacked the Chittorgarh Fort in 1303.
