MANILA, Philippines — Political advertisements are allowed on public utility vehicles (PUVs) as long as they meet the standards of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), the Land Transportation and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said yesterday. Among these regulations are the sizes of campaign materials should not exceed 8.5 x 11 inches for stickers and 2 x 3 feet for posters. “Those who wish to place advertisements must go through the application process to get a permit and pay the required fees. Rules on transit advertisements as stated is set by the LTFRB through Memorandum Circular 2013-005 and amended by MC 2015-029 must be followed. No transit advertising permits shall be granted to units with expired franchises, the LTFRB added.
