Pawel Pawlikowski’s Cold War won many prizes last night (15 December) at the 31stEuropean Film Awards, held in Seville, Spain. The film won the European Film, European Screenplay, European Director for Pawlikowski, and the European Actress award for Joanna Kulig. Cold War is a film about love. It is first sung by a young girl and then repeated in other forms throughout Cold War. And yet, their relationship is intertwined with the political climate of the cold war.
