MyNewsGh.com gathered that the two vehicles with registration numbers GR 2016-U and GW 236-Z were all loaded with passengers from Bunkpurugu destined for Tamale and Bolgatanga respectively. The armed robbers started firing into the bus and the policeman was hit in the ankle. They were reported to have robbed occupants of the Tamale bus and took an unspecified amount of them after which they bolted. Meanwhile, police disclosed to MyNewsGh.com that they retrieved four empty shells and two live AK 47 ammunition at the scene of the incident though no arrest has been made.
