more-inA police constable was injured when he tried to nab an accused in Ayakudi near here on Wednesday. The injured was Praveen Kumar, a police constable attached to Ayakudi police station. The police were in search of Azhagarsamy in connection with a woman harassment case. Acting on a tip-off, the police constable went to a particular place to nab Azhagarsamy. But Azhagarsamy attacked Mr. Praveen Kumar with a sickle and fled the spot.
