Serving Metropolitan Police officer Wayne Couzens, 48, has been charged with kidnapping and killing the marketing executive, who went missing while walking home from a friend's flat in south London on March 3. "The rate of any pay, including relevant allowances, will be that which the officer would be entitled to if not so suspended. The Metropolitan Police Service told the Mirror: "Following his charge on Friday, 12 March for kidnap and murder, Wayne Couzens was served with a gross misconduct notice and suspended from duty. "The process for officers’ pay while suspended is governed by police regulations which are set by the Home Office."
