JOHOR BARU: The police have uncovered the latest tactic of the Macau scam syndicates following a raid of premises allegedly being used as a call center on July 7, says state police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay. He said that the police raided the landed property at Mount Austin here and found after further investigations that the syndicate uses an application known as “Got Further 602400” and added that it comes from an Asian country. Comm Ayob said the telecommunication configuration system uses Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Interactive Voice Response (IVR). On the raid itself, Comm Ayob said that 12 suspects aged between 20 and 45 were arrested and that they work as operators. Comm Ayob Khan said this during a press conference held at the state police headquarters here on Monday (July 13).
