Punjab Police has vowed to continue the olive green uniform. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Establishment Azhar Hameed Khokhar, Additional IG Logistics and Procurement Ali Amir Malik, Additional IG Investigation Fayyaz Ahmed Dev, Additional IG PHP Shahid Hanif, Additional IG Training Kanwar Shahrukh, Additional IG D&I Ghulam Rasool Zahid, Additional IG Operations Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan, DIG Legal Jawad Ahmed Dogar and DIG Operations Sohail Akhtar Sukhera and other officers. The meeting discussed in detail the Police Uniform Rules 1952 and the Standing Order for Police Uniforms 2017. During the meeting, besides detailed discussion regarding Police Uniform Rules 1952 and Police Uniform Standing Order 2017, issues related to badges of various posts were also discussed after which IG Punjab stated that there is no intention to change the police uniform. While the quality of the existing uniform fabric will be further improved, the uniform will be made more comfortable.
