CALDWELL, LACONIA DAILY SUNTILTON — As the victim of a Friday night hit-and-run crash recovers at a trauma center, police are still searching for leads to apprehend the person responsible. The vehicle did not stop, but continued in the direction of Laconia. The victim was treated for serious injuries at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, and then was taken to a trauma hospital. Cormier said that, at last report over the weekend, the man was stable and showing signs of improvement, and he may be released this week. “Whoever did it definitely knew they did it,” Cormier said.
