Police continue to search for a man who is believed to have stabbed a 22-year-old in Kaitaia. Anyone with information should call Kaitaia police on 09 408 6500 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. A knife was recovered from the scene and police are seek public assistance to identify the man. A picture of the man - who was reportedly attempting to break into a vehicle in the town on Tuesday afternoon - has been released.
