RCMP in the North Okanagan say a 'police situation' in Coldstream, B.C., has now ended peacefully following earlier evacuations. On Monday morning, police evacuated the area surrounding Torrent Drive and told other residents to stay inside their homes. Torrent Drive, Kidston Road and Cottonwood Lane had also been closed for the police response. "The RCMP wish to extend thanks to the general public for their patience and support," said Cst. While some residents have not yet been able to return home, police say people should be allowed back inside soon.
