Police in Benue State on Friday shot dead seven suspected armed robbers along Lafia-Makurdi highway. A statement released by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Catherine Anene said the suspected robbers camouflaged in military and police uniforms. Anene said that policemen upon receiving information swiftly rushed to the scene and engaged the suspected robbers in a gun duel for about 20 minutes. The statement said that the suspected armed robbers were operating at the same spot a police inspector, Boniface Odeh was killed a week ago when they were engaged in the gun duel. “While on the trail, information was received on 12/6/2020 at about 0440hrs that armed robbers were operating at the same road.
