Police are seeking information on a serious assault in Waitara on August 22. Police are seeking information from the public after a woman was seriously assaulted on a beach in Taranaki. About 1am on Sunday, August 22, a woman was on the beach at Waitara, by Battiscombe Tce, when she was assaulted, Detective Sergeant Patrick Yates said in a media release. People with information are urged to contact Police on 105 and quote file 210822/7938. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
