A 45-year-old woman in a motorized scooter is dead following a hit-and-run collision in Mississauga on Friday morning. Peel Region police said the victim was struck near Dixie Road and Lakeshore Road East around 6:45 a.m. The driver of the vehicle that hit her failed to remain at the scene. Heather Cannon said the woman was travelling north in her scooter on the southbound lane when she was struck by the driver of a vehicle travelling south.
