Police fired nearly 100 rounds of rubber bullets and teargas shells to disperse the demonstrators, Superintendent Joydeb Kumar Bhadra told reporters after the clash on Wednesday. The clash occurred in the afternoon following a demonstration by the students of Bahubal Dinnath Model School who were demanding nationalisation of their institution. Bahubal police OC Moniruzzaman said the students after their protests suddenly attacked the police station and vandalised it. Several policemen were injured. Three others have been sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital and three more are being treated here.”
